Where it all began...

Knocknock began on the beaches of southern NSW, sparked by a simple moment of need.

While on holiday, our founder Mark borrowed a car but needed a surfboard. At $20 an hour, the rental shop wasn’t built for people who just wanted a wave, not a wallet workout. That moment lit the fuse for a bigger idea. An accessible platform where people could rent just about anything they’ll ever need, directly from each other. No heavy markups or time wasters. Just smart sharing that works for everyone.

Fast forward to now, and Knocknock is live across Australia and already connecting communities through everyday items. Items that typically sit quietly in sheds and garages for most of their life, now hold the power to create lasting memories, connect people, and cut through the clutter of modern life.

Knocknock is about access, connection, and purpose. And designed for a generation embracing ‘usership’ over ‘ownership’. We’re reimagining what it means to live well, one share at a time.
